山东省科学院新材料研究所,属于省直公益科研事业单位。研究所定位于面向国家、山东省经济和社会发展重大需求,建成应用基础研究、高技术创新研究和公益研究为一体的综合性新材料科学研究机构。

  建所三十多年来,形成了高水平的科研团队、完备的科研体系和较强的研究能力。在轻质高强金属材料、功能晶体材料、高性能有机高分子材料、环境工程材料、金属表面薄膜材料等领域取得了一系列原创性研究成果,填补了多项国内空白。现拥有省级重点实验室2个、省级工程技术研究中心2个。是国家科技成果重点推广计划项目技术依托单位,山东省镁产业技术创新战略联盟理事长单位,设有省科学院博士后科研工作站新材料分站。科研团队中有泰山学者特聘专家4位,享受国务院政府特贴专家7人,国家中青年有突出贡献专家3人。

  目前,研究所在我省重点发展的镁、铝合金材料,电光、激光晶体材料,高性能苯基有机硅材料、先进环境功能材料、纳米新材料等领域,承担着国家“863”计划、国家科技支撑计划、国际科技合作重点项目、省重大科研项目以及国家和省基金类等政府类科技项目,为引领、支撑我省新材料领域产业升级和技术进步做出了应有的贡献。

  The Advanced Materials Institute (AMI) of Shandong Academy of Sciences was founded in 1982. As a scientific research institution for public welfare, the AMI focuses on research in advanced materials area, including fundamental research, applied fundamental research, key generic technology and industrializationof related achievements. The AMI also carries out domestic and international exchange and cooperation in science and technology, builds scientific innovation platform for advanced materials, provides public service and trains post-graduate students.

  The AMI has more than 140 employees, including more than 50 senior titles, more than 70 doctors, and more than 10 foreign high-level talents (2 academician-level experts, 1 national youth and 3 Shandong Taishan scholars). It is the sub-station of the Postdoctoral Workstation of the Shandong Academy of Sciences. The AMI has 1 national academician workstation, 2 provincial key laboratories, i.e. the “Shandong Key Laboratory forHigh Strength Lightweight Metallic Materials”, the “Shandong Key Laboratory for Special Silicon-contaniningmaterials”, 1 provincial engineering laboratory “Shandong Province High Strength and Toughness Light Alloy Material Design and Preparation Engineering Laboratory”, and 2 provincial engineering and technology research centers, including the “Shandong Engineering Research Centre for Lightweight Automobiles Magnesium Alloy” and the “Shandong Engineering Research Centre for Municipal Sludge Disposal”. The AMI is also the technical support unit for key promotion of national scientific and technological achievements, and the president of Shandong Magnesium Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance.

  The AMI has been carrying out research on advanced materials including light weight and high strength metallic materials, energy materials, biomaterials, flexible microelectronic materials, aerogel metamaterials, functional crystal materials, and high-performance organic polymer materials, environmental engineering materials etc. The AMI has undertaken more than 500 research projects, including national, provincial and municipal projects, received 4 National Invention Awards and more than 70 provincial and municipal awards, been authorized over 200 patents and published more than 460 research papers and books. With a series of original achievements in advanced materials which fill the domestic blank, the AMI had made positive contribution to the Shandong Province on the upgrading of industries and technologicaldevelopmentin materials area.

  The AMI has been actively carrying out international cooperation and talent exchange. Insisting on demand oriented, the AMI focuses on building developing platform to attract high-level talents. The AMI is looking forward to inviting experts and scholars from domestic and overseas to work together and serve the human and social progress.
